You asked about the cost of an MSR titanium bottle. I don't have an exact
price, but I saw it listed in an REI catalog. I recall it was an ungoddly
price, somewhere around $60-70 dollars. I do distinctly remember laughing in
disbelief. A spun aluminum one must surely weigh about the same. The
titanium Sierra cup was a rational purchase, cutting a lot of weight-off
from the use of my oversized stainless steel Sierra cup, particularly when
it was on sale for around 9 bucks. I could be wrong on this, and Listers
please help me out on this, but I feel the only titanium pot large enough
for two people is bundled in a set of two (listing at REI at $80). I can't
justify parting with that kind of money when I'll be using just one of pots.
Has any couple out there found the smaller pots sold individually, large
enough to cook a deep-into-a-thru-hike meal for two (let alone melting snow
in)?
