[pct-l] What you reading?
Interesting topics all around last week. The Associated Press had a
story about the trail down to Crater Lake being closed for most, if not
all, off the season due to a pipe-repair operation scheduled to begin in
May. Meant to fetch a copy for posting but forgot. Sorry.
April's Outside magazine has a humorous look at one man's search for a
hiking partner on the AT and the trouble it causes him (also an
interesting article about back-to-basics camping).
And May's edition of National Geographic has piece on the Cascade range
titled "Cascadia: Living on Fire." Great pictures of the Three Sisters,
Mount Rainer, Mount St. Helens, etc. I haven't read the article yet
because it sounds way too ominous.
