[pct-l] tyvek
I read on another list awhile back that one way to get rid of the
annoying sound that tyvek makes when exposed to wind is to put it
through the washer. You should use only cold water and no
soap/detergent. Then youshould let it air dry. If you do decide to put
it in the dryer (3-5 minutes maximum). You may need to repeat this
process a couple of times but when complete the tyvek should be as soft
as nylon and should fold quite easily. After doing this if done
correctly the tyvek should not havelost any of its waterproofness. (If
you try this you might want to try a smaller piece first.) Hope this
helps.
Sincerely,
David.
