[pct-l] Re: s'no worries
I think that it is probably still too early to say what kind of snow year
this may be on the PCT because so much snow may (or may not) fall the next
two months. I just wanted to suggest that people thinking about doing a
PCT thru this year consider hiking the CDT instead. Snowfall in the Rockies has
been at or below normal so far (below normal in the San Juans, which is the
major snow section on a Northbound hike). Wherever I have hiked this
winter, I have been amazed at how much less snow there is this year than last.
Of course, the skiing hasn't been as good either :(
