[pct-l] The BIG BAD guns

     Here in Washington State we recently banned hounding which is how
over 100 cougars are taken each year.  I had an encounter with a cougar
last summer and I did not have a weapon and probably would not have shot
it but perhaps the sound would have frightened him because nothing else
did!!!!!!!  They can leap up to 18 feet and I was much closer than that.
Yes I survived without a scratch but I will not make that mistake
again.  Sorry Jeremy but some people want guns in L.A. and on the trail.
