i am looking at getting a winter mountaineering tent, specifically a
2-person, single wall type. this is for 1-3 night alpine ascents and
backcountry ski tours, so room is not so important, and the lighter the
better. anything longer or more extreme i'd use my SD stretch dome. i
have a few in mind, but would like to hear of others' experiences. the
ones i am considering are:
sierra designs summit
integral designs MK-1 (or MK-1 XL)
a bibler (not sure which model, need a catalog or website)
if anyone has used any of these tents, or any other single walled tent, i
sure would appreciate your thoughts on how it worked for you, what you
liked/disliked about it, weather conditions under which you've used it, etc.
thanks!
