In response to the request for a trail from 150 to 500 miles long, I
recommend the Colorado Trail, 470 miles from Denver to Durango. It's a
high altitude trail, particularly the last part, and has only two road
walks, about 5 miles each. July and August are the best months for
hiking. Parts of it share the footpath with the Continental Divide
Trail.
