Sorry for the dyslexia about hotel names in Lone Pine. The place to
stay in Lone Pine is the Dow (not the Doyle). It was 30 bucks a night
in 1997 for a room with shared bath. There's a pool if you want to use
it. I guess I was lucky to get to Trail Pass around July 4th weekend,
which made getting a ride very easy.
