Periodically, there have been discussions both within and without the PCT=

regarding incidents of easement violations and/or encroachment by land
developers adjacent to the PCT.
In addition to promoting and maintaining the PCT, the Pacific Crest Trail=
Association is dedicated to protecting this national treasure from
encroachment by land developers or abuse by those private parties through=
who's land the trail passes on an easement.
