Concerning Calvin Batchelder "Batch" - I saw him last at Crater Lake in late
July. He was in good spirits and heading north. He was looking a little run
down since the first time that I saw him back in Idyllwild, CA, however, I
think he was intent on reaching Manning this year.

P.S. He's more like 75 or 76 years old I think.
