[pct-l] New Guy, N. Cascade Question

     Hello all!
     
     First post.  I will be dropping my brother off in the North Cascades 
     this weekend -- He's going south from the Rainy Pass trailhead 
     (MarbleMount area) for a couple weeks.  I will go with for the first 
     day, then turn back.
     
     I have heard it's a bad year for bugs up there, especially horseflies, 
     but skeeters too.  I've also heard that insect repelent doesn't bother 
     the flies at all.  Any advice for me about how best to live with those 
     critters?
