[pct-l] fees

to all on the pct list, i apologize for not being clear. i just 
finished reading the article in the "communicator" on the fees the 
forestry service are "experimentally" going to charge along the pct 
and  at other places here in the west. the forestry service 
practically gives away this timber, bulldozes in the roads for these 
companies (formerly roadless areas) etc., etc. these companies make 
millions (maybe billions, like in salvage timber) in this racket. the 
picture i get is, after a corpulation goes in, clearcuts a section on 
the pct, rakes in the dough, i get to pay for the rebuilding of the 
trail. am i wrong?
