Call (619) 327-0222 for a recorded message giving the current (updated daily,
I think) snow/ice conditions in the San Jacinto Area. The message comes from
the Ranger Station on San Jacinto. That may shed some light on when you might
be able to start.
Let us (the List) know what date you decide on just in case, we happen to be
out there for a day hike.
