[pct-l] North to South Hiking/Owen

Owen,
     I had heard that it is often the case that north to south thru-treks 
are unsuccessful. This being due to the often late starts necessary from 
Manning Park because of snow conditions. This may be why most thru-hikers 
(and the guidebooks) discuss the trek from south to north. Perhaps others 
refute this theory.
