I plan to thru-hike California only in 1998. As a teacher I can get
the summer off, but with a wife and four kids, California only seems
a little more reasonable.
Jardine's book does not provide itineraries for California only. Does
anyone have a recommended itinerary? Certainly I could start later than
a complete thru-hiker. How much later? What affect will that have on
snow pack (good?) and drinking water (bad?)
