[pct-l] Important News Regarding the Dinsmores (Canadians Especially Please Read)

Andrea Dinsmore called this morning to tell us that her and Jerry had a fire
at their home in Skykomish, WA.  They are both okay.  The fire started due
to a shorted outlet in their wall upstairs in Andrea's office, and burned
the office and the deck.  The rest of the house sustained smoke damage.
Andrea says she's now going to get her new kitchen before Jerry gets his new
garage, so there is a bright side :o).  

 

Jerry was planning on driving the RV down from Skykomish to the ADZ
Kick-Off, but those plans are now off.  There were two hikers from Canada
who were going to go to the Dinsmore's residence and come down with Jerry
from there.  Unfortunately, the names and contact info for these folks was
stored on Andrea's computer in her office, so she can't contact these folks
directly to let them know the plans are off.  She believes the computer to
be okay, but it may take her a spell to get to somewhere where she can check
that out for sure, or see what repairs might be needed.  In the meantime,
they do not have computer access.  

 

At this point, they don't believe this challenge is going to interfere with
hosting this upcoming season; they were told they'll be back to normal in a
matter of three months (which I truly hope for them).  So don't cancel any
plans to stop at the Dinsmore's until further update.  Andrea will be back
online as soon as she can, and will update everyone on the status.
