[pct-l] Hiker Looking For Info

Hi Out There
  Im thru-hiking the trail this year and have some snow concerns. One is how 
soon will I hit snow that i will need my ice axe & crampons for? And two, I 
would like to plan to do some self arrest practice with a knowledgable 
person, maybe make plans @ trail kick off? Thanx
