available near Silverwood Lake/Cleghorn Picnic Area? Incidentally, what's a cleghorn
anyhow? A hiker musical instrument perhaps?! Switchback, you seem like a
guy who ought to know... And how about the closed store (Summit Valley
Store) a few miles prior (Mile 320-ish); is there a phone outside?

Actually, I do not know, but someone on this list probably does. I always
thought Cleghorn was some early pioneer in the area. That is why there are so
many place names in the area for Cleghorn. That is a common practice in
most areas. Early farmers and pioneers get their names on things. Just like
the name of mountains and other outdoor features in the backcounty for
explorers and trailblazers. Cheers, Switchback
