[pct-l] JMTmaps

There is a tool (actually, a number of tools) inside the program that allows
you add the "trail" to the map. You can also upload trial information from a
gps unit. Annotations and pictures can be linked as well. As for the JMT, I
down loaded the trail info (*.tpo file) from "mapxchange" on the
www.topo.com site. There are many shared trail files including the PCT, but
you need the TOPO! Map program to apply these files to. The JMT trail and
annotations where shared by Dan Braun in two files, I merged them into one
and then saved images to a jpg files. I have the State TOPO series for
California and the Streets and 3D View Expansion Pack, all found on sale at
REI a while back for $80.
Sorry if this is a little to much information....

Great maps of the JMT. I have never used TOPO! Was there some type of tool
or something that alowed you to trace the outline of the trail? If there was
I'll have to go buy the software for a couple of sections of the PCT.
