Al,
The trip from Camp to SC has kicked MANY people in the
ass.  Some push through, some hitch to Warner, some go
to Julian, some go straight home.  As for what you
should do, do whatever you think you'll be happy
doing.  Keep in mind, though, that it was not just the
heat and dryness that got you.  It was also the fact
that your body was probably not in "thru-hiker" form,
and you were doing 78 miles through some tough
conditions.  There's stuff further on up the trail
that's a lot harder than Campo to SC, but once you've
done that first couple hundred miles, you realize that
the next couple thousand are (barring unusual
circumstances) more of a mental effort than a physical
one.

Good luck with whatever path you choose, and just know
that when you're hot, tired, lonely, and thinking
about getting off, that we've all had those moments
too.
