Well, I am losing my edge. I did not get any flames from my previous
posting on Switchback's Laws of Backpacking. It must be age and I am slowing down.
So here are two additional laws to add to our list. The Laws of Trail
Etiquette. But first let's review.
Laws of Gear
1. There is no perfect gear. You must know the pros and cons of your gear.
You must know how to use your gear too.
2. Your gear should enhance your safety and trip enjoyment/goals.
Laws of Food
1. You must take food you will eat.
2. You should take food that is nutritious and meets your medical needs.
Food should be a morale booster too. The longer trip, the more important this
law.
Laws of Trail Etiquette (and life)
1. Leave people alone and respect their responsibilities.
2. Leave people's property alone.
Notice everything is in pairs, since I am not too smart and have to keep
things simple. Easier to remember too.
Thank you for your attention and support.
