L-Rod, thanks for the heads up about "Alone in the Wilderness" I hadn't heard about this before, for some reason. Fortunately the Multnomah County Library (Portland) has 9 copies so I put a hold on it today.
I'll have to check out "One Man's Wilderness: An Alaskan Odyssey" as well. Looks like there are seven copies of that in the collection as well. Good stormy winter night reading I'm sure.
