  I used a golite breeze, one for each of the two long hikes and they held up great.  For the Sierra I did get a different pack, one with a hip belt, so I could carry ice axe, crampons, bear cannister and 7 days of food.  I went back to the breeze as quick as I could.  I loved that pack.
