If you?ve ever read any Appalachian trail journals you probably have read
about these two sisters who hiked the trail barefoot? turned around, and hiked
it in the opposite direction? still barefoot. Isis and Jackrabbit talk about
their legendary 2001 yo-yo thru-hike, their trailnames, and how/why they did
it barefoot
Barefoot hiking is simply hiking without footwear. While to some strolling
through the woods shoeless may seem dangerous and unhealthy, walking barefoot
through natural terrain is a natural and traditional practice for which
human feet were designed and continue to be totally efficient and sufficient. For
more information on the health of walking barefoot and general information
of interest to barefooters, visit _The Society for Barefoot Living_
