I hope the actual range is more than the 20 feet specified. I'm not sure I'd
keep calm as the beast charged that close to me.

I haven't packed with it, but picked up a PetSafe Remote Trainer at Petco

It's a bit more than the one Carolyn mentioned but has a 30 foot range
instead of just 20 and also has a positive reinforcement sound (audible) as
well as the negative ultrasonic (inaudible) sound. Around the yard the range
seems to be a bit more than 30 feet, as it shut up both my dog and the
neighbors. It does specifically say it is not for use stopping aggressive
dogs, though.
