[pct-l] Mountain Lions , Friend or Foe

I guess I'm getting old.

I remember some of my adventures such as

- camped at Lake Vernon (Yosemite NP) and hiking around and twice almost
stepped on a rattler.

- or getting caught in a deluge at Tully Hole (JMT south of Devil's
Postpile) and laid over one day then bailing out and when we were almost
out the rain finally stopped. First eve there my partner had prolonged
shivering (first stage of hypothermia) and I went back out in the rain,
made a pup tent out of my ground cloth (plastic) and a piece of line and
heated water for hot food and drink over my trusty Svea 123 stove. It
may be heavy but pouring a little white gas around the burner and
touching one match and I had salvation.

Then there was another trip when I was tooling down the JMT and met a
nude woman coming back the other way. Turns out she was part of a group
camped off a ways from the trail. Had a pleasant visit with the group.
