[pct-l] Trail Shoes (rephrased)

>From "Robert":

I saw your note on the pct-l;

New Balance shoes do have additional letters as identifiers for specific
models. Mine say M807AT, the average gray 807. The same shoe is also
called M807NV; that just means the color is navy. They also made a camo
model.

I often find my size at
http://www.joesnewbalanceoutlet.com/detail.asp?style=M807AT but they do
sell out quickly. Most stores near me (San Diego) do not have my size
when they are on sale. Tough finding 14Ds.

I have had good luck with the 807s. I also use a custom orthotic in all
my shoes though. The 807s do not have a really aggressive tread and
they do wear down in a few hundred miles and become rather slippery on
gravelly downhill trails, in my experience.

Good luck with your search.

Robert

Ah-HA! Now, a method to this madness!

Now from the archives, I can get all the fine-strokes detail on what to
look for in a shoe.

Thanks, Robert!

Looks like the XX809XX is the new deal, no mas XX803XX-XX807XX e.g.
discontinued man.

Unless Kohl's has 'em.

hope that helps !!!
