Never measure the height of a mountain until you have reached its top. Then
you will know how low it was.

After posting trail maintenance projects on the PCT for Sth Calif. I was
urged to also post the northern Calif. projects, so pull out your calendars
and
mark down these dates and consider giving just a little bit back to this
incredible resource that we all take for granted as often as our lovely
wives!

May 20th to May27th Tread and brushing within the Castle Crag State Park
north and south of I-5. Coin operated hot showers after work each day and
this
will be a car camping trip. This trip is highly recommended for those who
have always wanted to volunteer but have not chosen to do so. Hands on
training
by some of the best trail people around. All meals provided and we have
room
for 12 folks. A $25 refundable deposit along with name, address and phone
number is all that you need to send to reserve your spot. Camp cook is also
needed for this trip.

the
year to meet several thru-hikers on their way to Canada. This is in the

in the
area (Statue Lake). Tread and brushing are the order of the day. All food
