[pct-l] Re: Jets



Years ago, I had a friend who flew hang gliders. He sometimes took off from
that spot on the road to Horseshoe Meadows. I once remarked that I had been
on top of Mt. Whitney and hadn't seen any gliders. He said that I would not.
They would be above me and too high to see easily with the naked eye. Think
about the elevation at the top of Mt. Whitney and being that far above it!
Incidentally, they do wear oxygen bottles.
