The PCT Stamp actually depicts two major mountains. Mount Rainier is the
highest in the state. Next to it is Little Tahoma, Washington's 3rd highest
mountain. Since Little Tahoma consists of rotten rock, choose a
shoulder-season non-weekend to climb it. It's difficult for other climbers
above you to avoid dislodging rocks onto the route below. My kid brother
makes a pilgrimage to the summit of Mt. Adams, the state's 2nd highest
mountain, every year. If we can coordinate timing, I might join him during
my 2006 PCT NOBO hike.
