My opinion is the best long pants to buy that has zip of legs, side leg  
zipper so you can remove pant legs without taking off shoes. The pants has  sewed 
in briefs which would eliminate separate briefs, can also be used as  bathing 
suite.  Velcro at ankles to tie back to keep out  mosquitoes. And a zip back 
pocket to keep your valuables. Off course the  lightest durable material made. 
Make sure the zippers are not made in USA, It is  very embarrassing to have a 
zipper fail on the trail. Santa please take  notice
