Since many folks are discussing their experiences at
Olallie Lake Resort, I'd like to share mine.  I hiked
into OLR in 1993 and retrieved my box.  The problem
was that the fellow working in the store charged me $5
to get my box.  Before sending the box there, I had
emailed OLR and was told that there was no cost for
holding the box.  I wished that I had a copy of the
email on me, but I did not.  I explained this to the
fellow working there, but he was intransigent -- no
$5, no box.  So I spent exactly $5 at OLR -- so I
could get my box.  That establishment did not get one
additional penny out of me.
