A navigational thought.

The shortest route for the PCT to become like the AT is a function of time
and apathy.

Things happen in tiny increments, not all at once. You won't wake up
tomorrow to find the PCT blazed like the AT. Concern today is a hedge
against undoing the undoable tomorrow. :)
