[pct-l] hike is over, but not the trip

This depends on where you're from, what attractions / stores there are, etc.
I would recommend finding an Adventure 16 store if you haven't ever been to
one and even an REI if you come from part of the country that doesn't have
them. Both are equipped and focused upon the hiker and even ultra-light
thru-hiker types like us. Other than that I cannot think of any gear manufacturer
tours, thru-hiking shrines (other than the almost forgotten and essentially hidden
golden spike ceremony spot and, of course Hiker Heaven at the Saufleys) or
mountaineering museums. Maybe we should start one! "Mountaineering Museum of
the San Gabriel, San Bernardino and San Jacinto Mountains"

Send in your old pictures, packs, crampons, pitons, ropes, ice axes,
ultra-light underwear, old socks, etc.

Send them to;

I'm farting around LA now. Is there any must see attractions I got to see
while here? I'm at the Aquarium of the Pacific now. Is there any
mountaineering\skiing museums, gear manufacturing tours, or thur-hiking shrines?
