[pct-l] SuperSecrets - Nuts

NUTS: Nuts are one thing most people like to eat on the trail. Consider
chopped nuts to reduce bulk in your container. This will greatly increase your
carrying power for the same amount of space. In other words, bulk out your
container. Don't forget the cooking section of the grocery and the small nut
packages there. Many are chopped for cooking. Do not get the really small
chopped sizes like for sprinkling on foods, but the medium chopped nuts. These
are a good compromise between compactness and crunch appeal. Trader Joe's
usually has a good selection of chopped nuts too, but in larger packages,
which you might not need. Tip: Trader Joe's has a peanut called "Blister" nuts
in a plastic container. It is an excellent peanut that is specially roasted
and has outstanding crunch appeal. It does not come chopped, so you would
have to chopped them up for the trail. Highly recommended.
