[pct-l] I knew there had been a sighting near Yosemite....

You could well be correct: They may be here among us. I've heard several
different women less-than-graciously refer to men as "shaved apes", but
perhaps they should more accurately use the term "shaved sasquatches"
instead.
In either case, the term shouldn't apply to distance hikers: We don't
usually shave. However, this whole sasquatch phenomena may result from
sightings of distance hikers who have gone over the edge and just decided
not to reenlist in "normal" society. Check it out: Find a clearing in the
forest and leave 1) a pint of huckleberries, and 2) a package of Pop-Tarts,
and wait to see which disappears first.
