ME TO !  gum works great.  It sounds like we have many 'diabetic'
hikers.  We need a short "diabetic" trek some time.  Or at least we need to
meet at the kick-off next year...or trail-fest.

Does anyone have any techniques they use when low on water to make things a
little more comfortable?  I have heard of Indians putting a pebble in their
mouth.
