I used a similar light.  I hiked from the Marie lake
junction, over Donahue pass and the canyon into
Tuolumne meadows completely in the dark (after
midnight). It didn't fail me as long as i kept
charging it.  The light I had had a crank on the side
that had to be turned.  My light was on the heavy
side.
