[pct-l] Mallory Flashlights
> Who can remember the Mallory flashlight?
I do. Lightweight plastic, rectangular reflector, using two AA batteries,
lightly curved in shape, pretty cheap. Weighted 1.5oz empty, 3oz with
batteries. Moderately durable, though you didn't want to drop it too many
times. Colin Fletcher sung the praises of these flashlight in the original
Complete Walker. Mine lasted from 197? until 2000 when I replaced it with an
LED flashlight. The later version of the Mallary which I think was a bit
more durable but not as comfortable in the hand was the Duracell Durabeam
DFC CompactThe DFC was still being sold a couple of years ago, but now seems
off the market. For a picture of the durabeam
