[pct-l] crocs
Speaking of floating crocs, Nitro had an incredibly funny entry in her TJ
this year, when she decided to ford Evolution sans clothing. When she
apparently slipped near the far edge of Evolution, her crocs slipped off her
feet and began floating down river only to be saved by a fellow hiker before
they reached the falls.
Here is the entry:

Crocs *are* ugly. But, they're so light! So comfortable!
Despite their cheerful, kindergarten look, they have a dangerous side... A
couple hikers in '04 sustained injuries (broken arm, sprained ankle) from
tripping/sliding in the big boats that are Crocs. There was talk of a class
action lawsuit. :)
They also float: a bad feature when you are playing in a river in the middle
of the Sierra and one slips off!
