[pct-l] question on 58

I left my car there last March for a week, and also June 04 for a few days .....but I had a beater car that I would not have mind to have gotten it stolen. There are a few holes where you can place your car where it is not visible from the road. And there is a cop that occassionally sets up his speed trap at that intersection. Still not a great place to leave a GOOD car because it is close to the middle of nowhere..

Capt Bivy,

I personally would not leave a car there for that long. For a dayhike, maybe, but not for a week. The PCT crosses Hwy 58 at a very rural stretch, and there are no homes or businesses nearby that could observe what's going on if someone were to break into your car. When are you planning to do the hike?

I haven't been to 58/PCT before and I was going to leave my car there a week while I hike section F and part of G. Do ya think it will be safe?
