I have been gone for a while
You might try sheepskin to pad the high points. It depends where you get
the blisters. But I used to get blisters over the entire back of my heel,
and the sheep skin solved the problem. If you want to relieve the pressure
on the high arch under the laces, and seat the heel back into your heel cup,
put a large piece of sheepskinover the top of the forefoot and top front -
this cushions your high arch under the laces and shifts the foot back into
the shoe and actuallygives the foot more contact(also prevents a narrow foot
from slipping forward). YOu could use a single piece of sheepskin with a
hole over the problem area.
Sheepskin comes in a lot of thicknesses of wool. You can look at a saddle
shop or leather store or some sleep -mattress stores carry sheepskin
mattress covers.
The sheepskin will fairlyquickly conform to your foot and compress.
Self diagnosis is important , and experimentation is the only option. You
may never be able to find a adequate shoe but you might find an adequate
solution by unequal padding.
Some of us have hypermobile feet. I am wondering if your problems are
aggrrevated by the opposite problem, feet that are not moving enough in your
shoe. Probably results in friction in very localized areas, rather than
being spread out. the arch in the foot and its "spring" seats the heel back
into the shoes. Might reflect stiffness in adjacent joints - the toes and
ankles.
