Well, I put some Velcro pads on the bottom of my Seedhouse tent and attached
a Space Emergency Blanket (cut to size). It weighs one ounce (with the
Velcro pads it is under 2 ounces) and I put the silver side facing the ground.
This way I can pick up my freestanding tent and use it as an emergency signal
(not for cloudy days). It is basically a big piece of tough aluminum foil.
Now I do not have to worry about sliding off my ground cloth and the bottom
of tent is protected. Not bad. Not bad at all. I am happy with it. It only
costs about $4.00. So it is very inexpensive to replace. No problem.
It does crinkle a little when you move around in the tent, but it is not too
bad. It packs up very nicely into the bottom of my pack since it is attached
to my tent.
I will just have to test it out on the hike into the Gathering. Four trail
days should give me a good test.
