[pct-l] Bob Norton Memorial Gathering Sept. 24th in Skycomish

 There will be a Bob Norton gathering in Skycomish on the 24th this month. They planted a few crab apple tree for him in the town's town. If you live close , stop in and share your memories of him with others. He was a big big of the old Cascade Crest Trail and later the PCT in his neck of the woods. Even back in 1974 the William Gray National Geographic book talks of meeting this legend walking through the fog. I have a great photo of Bob taken at Cascade Pass 1961 and later with same old Keltu and Ice axe in front of his Skycomish home. He was a great frind of the trail a bit of PCT history that will live on.
