[pct-l] What attracts Bears

Catch some fish,

clean them on the bank and toss the remains into the lake,

then fry them up in camp late at nite. You will have a bear.

This happened to a pair I was pacing on the JMT at Virginia Lake
last month. I liked them, but schooling was secondary.  I told them they
would
have a bear. At about midnight they had a bear climbing the trees to get
their bear bags.
They had several on their trip; but I liked them and they were sorta
like a great traveling trail Sierra sitcom. None of the bears succeeded.
We all came away with humorous memories .....
