Don't laugh. The sales reps for Counter Assault have to undergo this as part 
of their training. Ditto several law enforcement and land management 
agencies, just to instill confidence in the product. Then they KNOW it will 
work and what the target feels and is capable of doing (or not).

So this may sound nuts but, if you are going to take pepper spray, consider 
spraying yourself with it prior to departing.
