[pct-l] Bear boxes on the Rae Lakes Loop

We're doing it clockwise. (even holding the map upside down! ;)) Day 1
to Upper Paradise, Day 2 into Woods Creek, Day 3 somewhere near the
PCT/JMT, Day 4 & 5 in the Rae Lakes Basin, Day 6 over Glen Pass and into
Vidette, Day 7 back to Cedar Grove. That's the official itinerary.

I'm pushing for making it into Woods Creek on Day 1 and onto the PCT/JMT
on Day 2. That will leave us a day to fish the Rae Lakes Basin and
HOPEFULLY do a side trip into Gardiner Basin either via Charlotte or
off-trail through the Sixty Lake Basin.

But I'm not the Captain on this journey. Erik Yakel is going with us and
I know he'll be antsy to put a few miles between Mist Falls and 1st
camp. I will too.
My buddy Dave may be thinking less ambitious mileage, though. He's
heading up this little party.

Looking forward to it! I need a little (a lot!) of "mind flossing" about
now.
Thoughts of the trip are starting to nudge out all others...

Mike,
I did the Rae Lakes loop about 5 years ago and remember that there are
bear boxes along the whole route. Which direction are you doing the
loop? Holding the map so north is at the top, we went counterclockwise
(i.e. came out the last day down Mist Falls). I remember using bear
boxes at Junction Meadow, Rae Lakes, and again at the junction of the
PCT and Wood's Creek. Hopefully this information is still current.
 Have a great time!
