Yes, and I expect Splash to get there in mid-October, so it is quite a spread between Southbounders. I was up in Big Bear last weekend and here is the water outlook:
Shortly after passing Van Dulsen Rd there is a turn in the trail over a wooden bridge. There is water there. I didn't check out the spring at Doble Trail Camp, but the next water isn't until shortly before Arrastre Trail Camp.

The "lead" southbound thru-hiker is approaching Kennedy Meadows (will arrive Aug 28th). He will definitely like some reliable information about water caches in the south. Are any water cachers helping out the southbounders this year???? It would be much appreciated, especially since it is much drier this time of year. Thanks!
