[pct-l] winter hiking question

Mike Saenz suggested:

<<Campo to Fobes Saddle. You might get some snow around Mt
Laguna and a few miles north of the 74, but nothing
3-season gear couldn't handle.>>

A variation of this would be to hike the PCT from Campo
to the Coyote Canyon Road (B4). Then turn east on Coyote
Canyon Road and descend it into Anza Borrego State Park.
Eventually you would come out near Borrego Springs. From
the west side of Borrego Springs you could catch a branch
of the old California Riding and Hiking trail, which you
could follow back to the PCT near Cuyamaca Lake. There are
some interesting side trips one can take from Coyote
Canyon.
