[pct-l] OT-Road Trip to Glacier NP
Here's one vote, albeit a crowd-filled route: Hwy 1 to Astoria, OR, up the
Columbia, to Pasco, WA, then north on Hwy 17 to the grand coulee dam, north on
21 to Hwy 20, east to Sandpoint Idaho, north to Bonners Ferry Idaho, then east
on Hwy 2 to Kalispell then on to West Glacier. Eastern Washington will likely be
hot (certainly will be dry) but the rest of the route will be either coast or
forest.
The other non-I5 way north is through the eastern part of Calif and Or--if
you're sick of the coast (yeah, right) that might be a nice (but hot) change.
